endless scan after install.

ableton and Sibelius look locked up on VST scan. it's a no go. any suggestions?

I had this problem. it was trying to restore my previous playback configuration, which sucks ass. Roll on sibelius 6! but yes, take the VE dll out of hte sibelius folder and put it on your desktop or something. rub sibelius. If it loads fine, then you're away. now exit sibelius and put that dll back in the folder. now it will open without loading the previous VE config. hope that works *Rob

For starting Sibelius I recommend the following settings:
Go to the File/Preferences/Playback menu.
Check the box in Default Playback Configuration and choose "Default".
At "Opening Files" select "Let me choose ..."

This way Playback Configurations only get loaded, when you need them and not on starting Sibelius.
