Sibelius or Finale

It looks like the most of the posts are about Sibelius and there is also a video tutorial about it..

As a long time happy user og Finale I'm asking:

is this because Sibelius is best integrated with Vienna programs, or because it is harder to use?

For a long time you couldn't load VI into Finale, hence no posts. I believe that this has changed, so the flow of traffic should improve.

However, I also think that other than in the US, Finale is not so popular as it used to be.

I am using Finale since 2 years and just bought Finale 2009. The integration with VSL was very easy (couple of hours to understand and try it for the first time, knowing that i am completely new to VSL), much more than what is described in the Sibelius Tutorial video where it looks like a spaceship construction. Now all articulations, playing modes (legato, staccato, pizz) are automatically switched in Vienna ! It's really great. Out of all the musicians I know, just 2 are using Sibelius and they are comlaining about the poor quality of crescendi in Sibelius for example. This feature is working pretty fine in Finale. I would recommand Finale, but as I have never been working with Sibelius, this is a subjective point of view...

Crescendi and diminuendi are the same in Sibelius and Finale. Both use CC11 and velocity values by default. In this case neither is one program sounding better nor is one easier to handle than the other.
