    Hi there. I just downloaded the demo of the vienna suite. Power Panner does only come with one preset, is that right or are there plenty missing in my installation? cheers

    Just have the one myself  - assume that's all there is at the moment..

    There is are nor rules where to place an instrument in any mixing enviroment.

    Especially if the room is not defined.

    It also depends on the orchestration and style of music.

    Instrument positions are best custom made in your personal templates.

    some more thoughts about the post balance would be nice - is that the orientation/position of the listener?

    i totally agree. yet any preset is nothing more than a starting point for a concrete mixing situation.
    i´d think it wouldn´t be too bad to have pan-settings for a typical romantic orchestra or a baroque orchestra or whatever...
    it´s just meant as a starting point in my opinion. cheers s.
