Does anyone have any orchestral examples using Sibelius with VSL? I'm curious how this sounds -- the level of realism which can be attained through a notation program with VSL.
Thanks in advance if you have something to post.

Mahlon,
not full orchestral but Brass 1&2 and special brass. This is the final movement of a symphony for brass band and uses piccolo trumpet, cornets (10), horns (3), wagner tubas (2), Euphoniums (2), tenor trombones (2), bass trombone, bass (2) & contrabass (2) tubas, timpani and lots of percussion.
The MP3 is a virtual performance entirely created and recorded in sibelius. The performing score is littered with keychange notes and midi control date largely to control the velocity xfade. There are 3 VEs with about 27 instruments. The main problem with this performance is the mix which I am entirely green about but hope to improve over time. I haven't yet got my head round panning properly. The reverb is the feeware "Ambience".
Whilst there is much to be desired I like what I've achieved and am conficent when I've honed my skills particulary with the mixing side you could create a really good performance in this way. The second link is to the score (published not performing) on my sibelius home page.
