Hello Johann,
this will work if the Demo License is still on your key (you didn´t remove it).
Brian, the Demo License is time-limited, it will only work for 30 days.
Best,
Paul

Hi steff3
Thanks on behalf of VSL [:)]
Herb and his team need these negative feedbacks because VSL can't simulate the diversity and wide varity of systems we can have.
So your crashes will help to bring the Suite up to a higher level - even if it is/was not a very pleasant situation for you.
I'm sure that you will get a better or well running Suite soon.

Thanks for the answer Paul. [:)] I think I've got this straight. OK...so every time you demo a Vienna Suite plugin it subtracts a demo start while at the same time the Vienna Suite demo license itself is limited to 30 days. This means that every time you run out of demo starts you have to refill them to demo the Vienna Suite even if you still have time remaining on the Vienna Suite demo license. So if the demo license only lasts for 30 days then why do you need to subtract demo starts at all? Wouldn't it be a lot easier if the demo license just worked unlimited for only 30 days? [:^)] This way you wouldn't have people confused about why the demo stopped working before the end of the 30 day trial period. Maybe this is a Syncrosoft thing, but it seems complicated to me.

because otherwise a demo license could be used for an unlimited period - as you might have noctied with other types of demo licenses ...

Just downloaded the demo, and amazingly enough ALL 30 starts were taken up during the authorization process in Logic 8.0.2! I then refreshed the license and opened a single instance of the analyzer plugin, I'm down to 28 starts! Opened the EQ, down to 26. I dont understand it, but it seems each plugin takes 2 starts away!
Thank God that VSL decided to do a 30-day trial and they allow you to refresh the number of starts! Looks like I'll be refreshing my starts many times in the next 30 days, that is unless I buy it before then! [:D]
well i can't say what exactly is going on onder the hood of logic during the validation process, but theory says that *touching* a plugin (eg. for validation or for loading) is using up one start. inserting the same plugin into a second track should use no additional start now.

Dear Vienna Team!
I just wanted to download the key for the Vienna Suite Demo but my Dongles in the eLicenser were crossed (it wasn't possible to download the license on the Dongle). I disconnected the form the USB Port and then it was possible, but at the end of the download it showed up an error that something went wrong and that I should contact the support. I restarted and now it says, that the license was used already. I also can't get a new trial key because it says I got one...
To my amazement I could open the plugins in my sequencer but I now realized, that it counted down 20 of my Programstarts in 5 Minutes - I think it's because I tested some presets...
Is it possible to get a 30 day trial without counting down my free programstarts?
Thanks for your help!
Hi,
you can recharge your demo starts withiun 30 days as often as you like (click "Validate License Usage Periods" in the eLCC). "Recover" will help to fix any downloads that were not finished.
Please make sure you are using the latest eLCC. BTW: If something doesn´t work, it will help a lot to include your OS and the version numbers of your software [;)]
Thanks,
Paul
Thanks for your answer!
But my problem is, that the download of the license in the eLicenser Control Center failed (there is no license for the Vienna Suite on the Dongle) and it's now using my free starts from the Special Edition (I buyed a Vienna Key to try the instruments and not to lose them all by checking some presets with Vienna Suite.
Don't you have any opportunity to see, that the download of the license failed?
My System:
XP SP3
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
4GB RAM
eLC-Version 6.0.1.8
Thank you!
