Vienna Ensemble Sound Stops playing in Pro-Tools

Hi

I am new to pro-tools recently moving from logic and DP. But I am having a weird problem that I hope someone can help me with.

I am running pro-tools 7.4 cs2 with a MBOX 2 on a Mac Pro 8 core. I have it linked to a PC using ethernet that has Vienna Ensemble 3 running on it. I have this set up in pro-tools as a mutlichannel instrument channel.

This all works fine with no problems until I leave it for a while, for instance I go to make a cup of coffee and come back.

When I come back and play a note on my keyboard, I can see the midi note being triggered in Vienna on the PC, I can also see the audio meter playing the note not only on the PC in Vienna. But I can also see the audio playing on the meter in pro-tools. But there is no sound?

If I close down pro-tools and restart, it starts working again. But this is a real hassle.

Is there a setting I need to make to fix this problem?

Sounds like a problem with the energy saver settings in system preferences. I think Digidesign recommends putting hard drives to sleep on "never." Put the computer to sleep settings at something like 3 hours if you want or never (longer than your coffee breaks at least). JD
