    We have just bought the 64 bit mac and it seems there is only 32 bit instrument installer on the website! Can we use this? starting to panic, lol. Steve.

    You are correct. At the moment there is only a 32bit installer for OSX. If you do a search, you will find that this subject has been covered extensively. You can use the 32bit installer.

    As a matter of interest, why did you think that there was a 64bit installer for OSX?

    welcome steve,

    basically this is related to the fact that OS X 10.5 is still 32 bit (more or less only memory addressing is 64 bit whereas kernel and GUI is 32 bit)

    10.6 aka snow-leopard will introduce 64 bit kernel and probably 64 bit GUI ...
