Oops, i didn't saw the answer of Herb. Good news about QT 4.5 : Futureproof Qt users’ investments on the Mac® platform with added 64-bit support Continuing the Qt tradition of insulating developers from platform-specific changes, Qt 4.5 adds support for developing 64-bit applications on top of the new Mac Cocoa API, making it possible for Qt developers to deploy resource-intensive applications to the latest version of the Mac OS (10.5). http://trolltech.com/about/news/qt-4.5-tech-preview-released

Yes, as soon as this is all sorted out, the OSX has a chance to catch up on the 64bit front.

The one really good thing that Apple planned for is the fact the you don't need to worry about 32bit and 64bit drivers. This should make the transition much easier than it has been for Windows users.

The cruel joke is that the VSL Performance Tool doesn't work in Logic 8

AFAIK almost all has been fixed with logic 8.0.1 (IIRC moving cells in alternation mode still don't work) ... you actually don't need the XSkey authorization any more (unfortunately), though the performance tool for the respective processor platform has zu be installed
