  • Confused... Opus 1 manual... soon?

I don't know if I'm just crazy, but there doesn't appear to be a full manual for the Opus 1 set. I'm wondering about mappings and implementation info for some of the instruments... will there be a downloadable Opus 1 .pdf soon?

  • ehhm, didn't you have the printed manual (about 80 pages i think) in your box? or is there some special stuff you are missing?

  • The manual suggested that there was a .pdf manual for download... mind you, reading more carefully, I noticed that it also mentions that the mappings are only given for a representative instrument from each basic category. So, that's probably the root of my confusion... What I'm wondering about is why I can't seem to find a Bass Clarinet performance legato, since it's certainly implied that there should be one. Am I wrong?

  • jbm, thanks for pointing to this issue - of course i have not read all manuals in detail, i'll forward your request in case it hasn't been read by an appropriate person

  • thanks christian,

just wondering... while I have your ear. Are you planning a performance tool for Kontakt? I've been playing around today with making a legato tool in max/msp, but it's not working too hot! (it kind of works...) Anyway, I'd really like to use a stand-alone sampler on my Mac (the bulk of the load will be on my Giga PC, and I want to use Finale 2004 as my sequencer), and Kontakt is the only one I know of. Possible?

  • jbm, you've pointed me to an imo hot environment (object orientated, cross platform, ...) i didn't fell over it so far - thanks for that.
please understand i don't want to comment on additional variations of the performance tool currently - this is TBD internally when having all news on the table after NAMM.
personally i'd think it makes sense to support additional platforms for various reasons, unfortunately there is more to take into consideration than the installed basis.
