  • Intsalling Needs "SPECIAL EDITION BASIC LICENCE"

     hi there,

    I already own and have a licence on my steinberg key. i had to uninstall my instruments , and now im reinstalling it back with my key having my licence, the installer gives error msg asking for licence not found.???? i have downloaded latest syncrosoft and instrument installer. ANY SUGGENSTIONS plzzzzzzz.. i have a project to finish.....

    I had this message once, and running the license control center, there where no license to be found at all.

    I tried and ran Help/Support/Internet Licence Update out of the blue, and it miraculously sorted things out.

    Not sure about the exact english name of that function in the license control center though, since my system is in french.

  • First things first. In order to have a flawless installation I always:

    1. Uninstall the LCC and then install the newest version
    2. Uninstall the library installer and install the newest one.
    3. Possibly uninstall the VI/VE application and then install the newest version (or the version on the DVD).

    This has never given me any problems. I'm sure that I don't need all those steps, but it takes only a few extra minutes and the samples are going to take a much longer time to install, so I figure that it will save time in the long run..

  • While Un installing LCC do i need to remove: .... /Library/Logs/Syncrosoft/.... and ....... /Users/[current user]/Library/Logs as ive been told that removing LOGS would remove all the licences????? i have removed everything else part from logs.. But its still doing the same, when i run the installer it takes ages and nothing happens it just freezes , so i force quit it, the next time i run it gives the licence error... WTF man.. its getting on my nerves...

    The licences are on the dongles. You can't lose those. If you are worried, take the dongle out whilst you uninstall. I have no idea about logs. I never bothered doing anything apart from uninstalling, re-boot and re-installing.
