Can't Play Vienna Special Ed Utilizing External Keyboard Within Sibelius
Hello, When I try to play sounds from my Vienna Special Ed Instruments, which are loaded into my external Glyph drive through Sibelius 5. When I double-click and activate the Vienna, and then try and play a note - Nothing. But I can click the on screen Vienna keyboard with my mouse, and the sounds come out great - But not when I use my Yamaha W7 external keyboard. I called Sibelius support , and the tech told me that, in order for me to use Vienna in Sibelius, I have to load all of the Vienna instruments directly into the Sibelius folder on my "Macintosh HD" internal HD. Surely, this is not true! If so, I was sold something that I can only use to store my Vienna Special ED into - And this doesn't seem to me to be cost efficient - Especially when the salesman said that he has used all of the aforementioned for a long time. Any help is much appreciated. Burtron

What this Sibelius tech support guy said is utter bullshit, I guess...
What happens when you play back notes inside Sibelius, so no realtime playback but score playback?
This is clearly a Sibelius problem, by the way, and I strongly recommend posting your problem on the sibelius forum. You will be most certainly helped there.

Hello Burtron!
You don't have to put the samples in a specific folder. Just tell the Directory Manager where they are located, and it should work. If you can hear them when playing the screen keyboard, this is already set up correctly. Do you hear the samples when you play the score?
Have you switched off MIDI Thru in Sibelius? You find it here:
