Repetition by Key switch ?
-
...no, i mean the chance to assign all repetitions to a key switch ( 1 for cell ). That it's possible using the dynamics. Is not possible using the normal repetition ( leg, stac, spicc etc. ). Since i discover sometime is better to directly control the alternations my question is : It's possible in the future VSL release the resources patch for ? ....or ...There is a workaround give me the chance to control each rep. ( no by auto alternation algorithm ). Thanks PS Using the dyn rep by the KS is a very powerfull chance ... not just for the rep dyn evolution....( as explaned in the vsl demo video )

With the Pro Edition, there was the chance to choose which repetition sample to use in the Matrix. This is no longer possible with VI. Whilst I don't really miss the old Matrix, as the current system is much more user friendly, I think that VSL has shot themselves in the foot, because there is some dodgy editing, and unfortunately you can't avoid it, except to switch patches, which of course gives a different sound.
I'm hoping that in the future there will be more control over quite a few things, but I could live with the lack of control over repetitions if the editing was more consistent over all the samples in a repetition patch. Maybe there should be a section of the forum where we can enter a list of less than pristine samples, so that VSL can collate these and offer an update?

Thanks Anton, I've watched the video and see what you mean - using keyswitches to select the dynamic is like going up through the gears! I agree with you and DG, it would be great to pick out individual repetition samples by the same method. Using the Perfomance Tool to do it in 'the old days' was a little difficult, but it was a great facility.

..not only, the dyn by KS are also usefull for ordinary use in the melodic phrases as the lenght can. Since "they " are one exact shot i am using for "exact" staccato to marcato articulations. Sometimes the "auto" repetitions are not working as expected in terms of alternations and tempo matching, so i think is usefull to give us the chance to choice.
