    hi guys. my Vienna Solo Strings suddenly disappeared from both Vienna Ensemble and Vienna Instruments (applications). I'm using a Mac, 10.4.9. There is absolutely nothing under Patch Assign, Matrix Assign, etc. even when i open the projects where i used and recorded Solo Strings, those tracks sound muted. what's happened and what am i supposed to do?

    2 possible reasons come into my mind:

    - you installed some older application (like e.g. cubase 3) which has overwritten the license control center with an older version, so the license is no longer known. open LCC and see if you have an *unknown application listed - if yes, re-install latest LCC)

    - you moved or renamed the location where your data files are stored (if data resides on a direwire disk it might have happened the disk went into sleep mode, which should be disabled). open the directory manager, remove and re-assign the location, preferrably using drag&drop from a finder.

    - both should be done after a reboot to make sure no running processes will fool you
