  • If you download the template for Cubase that Christian Kardeis did then you will have all of the settings there ready to go and give you the exact same sound that he used for the demo. All you have to do then is just substitute the instruments that you want to use. . Bus 32, because Christian simply likes this bus for his reverb (He explains as such on the interview i did with him on the VSL Podcast a year or so a go). As for VE .. well it couldn't be much simpler to put the reverb on .. just click "Add effect"!! And choose from the list of plugins that you have. IF you don't have a reverb in your plugins (Thats you would have as VST if your cubase users .. or Audio units if your on a mac) then you won't see it. . The Template is just a 'suggested' possibility for using the VSL with your sequencer. Don't be afraid to try out things on your own. Sounds like your pretty new at this so best advice one can give is to say just play with the sounds .. see what works and what doesn't .. best way to learn is by doing. The templates work and should give you a good sound going in .. only reason it wouldn't is if it's been loaded incorrectly!

  • Thank You , do You mean the Download tutorial that is on the demo zone ???

    Thank You Again ,

    JJ

  •  I downloaded something for needfull things ... I will have a look !

  • Yeah it's the tutorial for the special edition library. It's very useful and covers most sequencers. Forget exactly where it is but it'll be in your user area somewhere. Or indeed on the tutorial part of the site.

  •  Thanks  , but still putting a verb in the VE doesn't work I did what it is recommended to do but if now the list of the plugs appear I couldn't launch them , may be because of VE is on 64 bits and the cubase 4 is on 32 bits ...

I'm sorry, but other than using Cubase, you have given no help as to what your system is. Heck, I don't even know what OS you're using. The more information you give, the easier it will be to help, particularly as most of this is pretty easy in Cubase.

  •  Thank You , I use cubase 4 ( 32 bits ) along with Windows XP 64 Vienna Special edition and Vienna ensemble 2.0 , is this help ?

Yes, this explains it all. If you are using VE 64bit, you need a 64bit reverb plugin. If you don't have one, then you will need to insert it in Cubase instead.

I think that MIR will be such a huge upgrade that you may need to mortgage your firstborn, as you will need to buy a new, fast computer to run it before you buy anything else. Just get Altiverb, use it in Cubase and be happy for the moment. Of course, this is just my opinion. [:)]

  • What template are you talking about, btw.?

EDIT: Sorry... didn't read properly enough

EDIT2: Cool Template.. plays back exactly as in the mp3-Demo... GREAT!
