  • VI 2 plugin???

I just install the VI2 version on Mac G5 ppc 2x2.7GHz 10.4.11 The standalone version is perfect. I'm really not sure that the plugin version 2 is installed? In Library/Audio/Plug-in I see this: ViennaInstruments.component v1...? is it correct? also I'm using -Audio Unit Manager- of Audiofile Eng. and in there its also showing VI v1.12 ??? Any comments? thanks to all....

  • I'm waiting for some comments????????

  • logic tells me both (VE + VI) is 2.0.0 ... maybe remove or rescan existing?

has logic or a vsldaemon been running during the upgrade and have you rebooted before?

  • cm, Must I throw all VI plugins and redo the VI v2 installation? No I did not reboot before...? Tel me more please. Thanks

  • Alain:

What I suspect happened is that VI 1.x.x was unchecked in the AU Manager dialog box when you installed VI 2. (I made the same mistake.). Therefore the component associated with VI 1.x.x was not replaced because it was not in the Components folder - - but in the "Components (disabled)" folder that AU Manager creates.

    To correct this:

    Open AU Manager.

    Select the "All" button

Go to the Vienna Instruments folder

Use the Uninstall Application in the Vienna Instruments folder to uninstall VI 2.

    Reinstall VI.2

This worked for me and, hopefully, will work for you as well.
