  • Natural Harmonics in chamber strings?

Does anyone know the logic to how the natrual harmonics are layed out over the keyboard on chamber strings. Any ideas? Max

  • 1 octave = all natural harmonics on one string

    Lowest octave = lowest string

  • wow thanks herb therefore so on the keyboard G3 to Fsharp4 will sound all available natural harmonics on the G string. will the next octave starting at G4 sound all available hat harmonics on the D string. sorry for being so dim. M

  • No, that's not the way it is mapped.

You can find a detailed mapping description in the download pdf manual of the chamber strings.
