Hi,
I've been trawling around the net trying to find somewhere that'll insure my dongle/licence... can't seem to find anywhere.
Does anybody here insure theirs/know of such a place?
Thanks,
Rob

Since ASCAP stands for American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers, I don't think you have that in Ireland, though your equivalent in UK might offer insurance for musical equipment/hardware/software. I found this just by looking on the internet for music equipment insurance:
I have no idea if they are good or competitive, they just happen to show up on a google search and are in the UK.

This is a very difficult question to answer. There are companies that insure studio equipment, but when it comes to software licences, some will agree, but when you look at the small print, you find that this is not the case. There was a detailed discussion about this on idiot.net recently, sorry, the Cubase forum, and there were conflicting stories from the same insurers.
The MU (in the UK) says that they have partners that will insure software, but there is also a possible sting in the tail (that I found out to my cost). A composer is considered to be management, so you may have trouble getting them to do anything for you.
Anyway, if I can find the Cubase thread, I'll post a link.
