1. an option in preferences "Display Mode mirrored for all instruments"
would be handy when editing the same setting page for many instruments.
right now selecting an instrument recalls its previously edited tab (sometimes useful though)
2. a way to rearrange matrices on the LEFT pane of Matrix Assign tab
changing key-switches is not an option if you use program changes.
current workaround: save every matrix first, then reload - time consuming!
3. saving a preset or a matrix shows up only in a currently edited instrument
current workaround: saving a dummy preset/matrix will update the folder structure for an instrument
4. multiple selection of instruments, which would allow for editing a parameter or structure for all of the selected instruments at once.
5. allow program change messages to switch cells within a matrix.
Matrices use only PG 101-112 anyway, so we still have over a hundred PGs unused.
6. make a cell in a matrix a 2x2+1 structure.
currently it is 2x1+1 and I'm thinking of a scenario when you want to crossfade between sus-nvib/sus-vib, but also between sus-nvib/sus-nvib-trem and sus-vib/sus-nvib-trem
7. I love using Instrument tracks in Nuendo/Cubase, because they combine both MIDI and VST Instrument audio signals.
Vienna Instruments were an almost a perfect companion for them -- one instrument = one track.
The only downside is editing multiple VIs, especially since you have to open the proxy window first and then the actual instrument. Vienna Ensemble helped a little in managing multiple instruments, but at the same time you can no longer use the "one instrument=one track" paradigm.
Would it be possible to: combine best of both worlds and make VIs as satellite outputs of VE engine?
You could use regular instrument tracks in Nuendo/Cubase, but Vienna Satellite would serve only as a proxy (which you use anyway) to the main VE plugin. Inside the VE you could route audio to any bus/out as before, or to one of the VSs. Each instrument in VE would have an option to connect its MIDI in to VS. Makes sense?
