Maybe I'm not the only one, but I can't seem the big difference between velocity cross fading and using expression. Does one have a bigger range? Does one sound better? For those using either or both, why use other over the other, and for what reason? In trying to create great sounding parts, whats the go to fader? Thank for your input!

Using the vel crossfade enables you to crossfade between the changing timbre of the sound as well as the loudness. You only get a change of loudness with the expression control same as with the volume control.. This may be more or less obvious depending on the instrument. Like brass for instance has a much different sound played loud than soft.
