  • Vienna Ensemble Plugin Problem

In various applications when selecting VE as a plugin, only the 64 bit plugin loads.  I want to use the 32 bit version at the moment because I need to load other VSTs into it and most will not work with the 64 bit version.  If I move the 64 bit version I get a 'Vienna Ensemble service is not available' message althought the 32 bit version is still present.  Is there a way (or can a fix be added) where one can select which version one wants to load as a VST.

    Hello Justin,

had the same problem before I got 32 bit plugins working in VE 64.

The trick is to start the 32 bit service manually before loading any VE plugin.

  • Thanks Peter, how does one start the 32 bit service?

EDIT - found it - nice trick!!

Are you sure that you are loading 32 bit plugs in VE64 (not VE32)?

  • justin, if you start the VE stand-alone (64bit) this is another beast than the 32bit service (= plugin) - you should see 4 menues for VE, 2 of them are 32bit
