Just joined the site and have been using the Pro edition for a few years now.I'm adding a second computer (pc. 3.2 quad core) to my old mac g5 mac. I'll be using the pc as my main daw running Sibelius 5.My mac ,which is running logic 7.2 with a motu 828mk 2, will be used mainly in a 'stand alone' ,extra sound source capacity.
my question is this...any one using vienna on a 2nd machine?what is the most straight forward way to communicate with the mac from the pc in midi terms? is 'midi over lan' acceptable in regards latency?
Also any tips on the best choice for soundcard for the pc-i'd like to send the mac instruments to the pc and have them integrated into the Sibelius mix and i hear this is where latency can be a big problem!
