  • Help! All of my VI libraries disappeared!

Hey guys -- I just fired up a VI instance of Appass Strings II, and my VI player is empty -- none of my registered libraries are in there. I ran the directory manager app again, then restarted logic, but still -- nothing. I have the latest version of VI. Anyone know what could be wrong, or how to fix it? Kerry

  • Three things to test:

    1. Does LCC say that the licences are on the dongle?
    2. Did you do the Directory Manager for VI or VE or both?
    3. Did you re-start after doing DM?

  • DG, you've come to my rescue before, I think -- thanks for the quick help. I do have these licenses (unlimited) on the dongle, which is why the disappearing act freaked me out. But when I started a VI earlier, I got an expiration notice for the demo period on some samples that I don't own, and I wonder if that's what triggered the disappearance of the sounds. The trick to getting them back was to do the restart after doing the directory manager. That nifty fix aside: something caused my VI's to disappear, and I wonder if it was the expiration notice? I'm not using VE's yet, so it couldn't be that. Anyhow, thanks a million for jumping into the thread for me. Much appreciated. Kerry

  • Glad to help. Just remember, on OSX always re-start after running DM.
