  • Appassionata Strings 2

    Hi,

is it just me or aren't the sound of the audio demos for the Appassioata Strings 2 very good, are they?

I listened to them right now and compared with other demos there is a big big difference. I know the strings are played with dampers...

Do anybody know if it's because of the lib or aren't the demos very well mixed? I read it should be for the emotional hollywood strings or something like that but that doesn't sound very hollywoodish for me. Would be great to hear your opinion because I'm quite unsure if I want to buy them or not...

My best & thanks for helping on

    Stephan

  • hmmmm.....just listened to Christian's 'James and Domino' and in my opinion the sound quality is very good beside his good composing skills.Muted strings exactly sound like that, I can tell you because I often use a mute for my cello.Christof

  • I second that. The "con sordino" demos are really convincing. But maybe you're more interested in Appassionata I, where you can obtain this "typical holywood sound"? (although I personally love color of muted strings if it's not overused)

    - Starwars Snippet (Appassionata Strings I)

    - Stringarragements 1

(The Basic-Rhythm tatatata = Orchestra Strings, the decorating fast 1st Violins = Chamberstrings

and the Melody = Appassionata I Strings

    At E-Music listen to

  • Thank you very much for all your replies.

Hmmm...then it looks like that I'm not a big fan of con sordino strings when they sound like they sound in the demos :-/

@Beat: I already own the Appasionata Strings 1 and love it.

    Thanks for helping on.
