  • Loading and Licensing

Question, I just pruchased Appassionata Strings ll standard library. It is registered and licensed. I brought up the Vienna Intruments library installer so that I could load the software. When I attempted to do so I received a prompt that said, "The following licenses are needed to install this package: Appassionata Strings ll Basic". Did I not purchase something that I was supposed to. Is Basic different than standard. What do I need to do in order to get my Appassionata Srings ll loaded so I can start using it. Thanks David

  • Thanks guys for the info. I do believe, however, that the problem was due to operator error. I forgot to download something. I actually can't remember what it was called but it wasn't the license. Maybe it was that doohicky thingamajig or something or other.lol. I'm so pathetic.

  •  I've downloaded the Soprano choir along with the package.nfo, In the instructions, it tells you to place the .cab files into the folder that's been created (package.info) when I do this nothing happens. The package.info folder is  dark grey in appearance , should it look like this, my computer doesn't seem to know what to do with it???

    I'm using logic pro 7 .

    Any suggestions???

  • Hey David,

It seems we are in the same boat. I've just downloaded Soprano choir and can't get the damned thing to work. How many different licenses do you need ... I've already got the performance set and Horizon Saxophones, surely if your an on going, regular customer these codes, licenses and serial numbers should become more of an automatic process, I for one just want to hear the demo... like the demo... pay the money... download and use the software, why can't it be that simple???

  • tony,

at the end of your purchase there is a confirmation page saying: here is your serial number xyz... and your activation code abc... to download the license in your license control center to your ViennaKey .... that's neccessary ....

in a next step you download the files to a folder (eg. V51 as the zip file creates it during un-zipping, at least under windows)

next step: run the library installer and point the dialog to the package.info in the folder created above

    install - play

of course you should make sure you have the latest LCC and VI because older ones might not recognize this new product

  • In order to install it you have to use the VI Library Installer that should be in your "applications/Vienna Instruments" folder. And to install it will ask you where the packge.nfo file is for the library you want to install .. so point it to where the VI Soprano choir package.nfo file is and it should all be automatic from there. ......... The file itself won't do anything. So use the VI library installer. Easy :D

  • downloading the zip-file containing the package info on a mac - mostly with safari - unzips the package info automatically to the desktop (at least it seems most preferences are set to do so) - please create the V51 folder by hand and collect the package.info file and the .cab. files in this created folder .... continue as written above
