  • The old VSL tutorials

What happened to the VSL tutorials for first and pro editions? There used to be a sticky. Have they been taken offline?

Thanks, Christian. If I recall, the one I'm thinking of had links to an external website made by a VSL user. These will be a great help, though.

    Hello Andrew

You are right, Andrew, I've changed things a bit. I wrote a new Tutorial (divided into two parts).

But all tutorials which handels the work with VI I've still on my Website. Unfortunately

I had to change the old website links to them. New:

    http://www.beat-kaufmann.com/vitutorials/index.html

I had a lot of questions about making music with Horizon and ProEdition Samples. So since

December 2007 you can visit the reinstalled the VSL-Midi Tutorial again. It's about

how to make a sample based song with the Horizon- and ProEdition- Products. New link too:

    http://www.beat-kaufmann.com/vitutorials/vslmidi/index.php

All the rest you will find in the "New Tutorials" (divided in a Midi and an Audio part). They handle

the process "from a  midifile to an audio file" in 2 x 10Steps. I've collected the knowledge in a new

and logical order with new words and pictures. These tutorials discuss now the themes in general,

removed from any sample player and sample library. So they could be helpful even if you use

Horizon Products for example. There are several information and videos  about these tutorials

on my homepage. Because I've worked around 3 months for that project, you have to pay a small

    amount - [:(]

    All the best

    Beat Kaufmann

  • Hi Beat,

Thanks for your reply here. I've been looking at your new tutorials on getting midi to audio and plan to buy them once I have GS3 and VSL all setup again. From what I remember about your original tutorials, I'm sure your fee is a small price for what I'll learn and the time I'll save doing it.

    Thanks again,

    Andrew

P.S. Thanks for the link to the videos on the new tutorials. I missed those before.
