  • Vienna Ensemble issue

I have downloaded the lates Vienna Ensemble and Vienna Instruments to my computer which uses Windows XP.  Whenever I opened Vienna Ensemble and go to "insert instrument" it shows the standalone with no patches, presets, matrixes, or anything, completely empty.  Afterwards, I went straight to the standalone to find it is also empty as shown in VE... I then reinstalled the library (I use special edition) and it fixed the problem with VI, but VE still did not show any instruments.  I then reinstalled VE and all the samples on both programs were gone again... very frustated and confused... I also made sure that my Vienna Key was inserted and operating fine.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • You have to run Directory manager for both VI and VE. That way both applications will "see" the licences.

to be more precisely: will "see" the sample data ... (right wing - the licenses in the left wing should be visible from start)

reason is that on windows VI and VE are two applications and some paths are stored in the registry, which has seperate branches for VI and VE

  • Yeah, I actually meant Presets, because that's usually the first hint that something isn't right.
