    Take Two

    To the assembled company I offer up my first proper mock up of Malcolm Arnold's Symphony for Brass 4th Movement. An MP3 on megaupload http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6H2P3MYE

    This is made with Brass 1 & 2. One instance of VE as a VST in Sibelius 5 with ten VIs and Altiverb 6 providing the room sound.

    The performance is entirely driven from the score with all keyswitch and controller data imbedded in the score. The score also has all the performance rubato written into it.

    The scoring is piccolo trumpet, 3 trumpets, horn, tuba 3 tenor and 1 bass trombone. I used about eight patches for each part and there is an extended muted section in the middle.

    I'm aiming for reality and to convince even discerning musicians (such as the assembled company) and I would welcome all comments and criticisms about the sound, mix and performance etc.

    I have broad shoulders.

    So what d'ya think?
