  • Full orchestra template for Logic?

I'm working on setting up a template for Logic 8 that will include all the VSL instruments I could possibly use in a full orchestra setting, with panning, EQ, and reverb already in place to create a good realistic hall sound.  Then after an admittedly longish load time, [A] I'll have the whole palette at my disposal, and can write/arrange without worrying any more about the setup.

Of course, it occurred to me that other folks have probably done the same thing already.  Does anyone have a Logic template like this, or know where I can find one?

    Cheers,

    Conor

    Hi there,

you can download the VE special demo, it includes a Logic file, you could use this as starting point for your template maybe, including space designer as bus with a quite nice reverb setting.

It is worth watching the videos that come with this demo.

You can find all the stuff HERE

    regards,

    christof

p.s.:I think the Logic demo was made in Logic 7, but it should also open with Logic 8

    Hi Conor

I don't want to distroy your good idea. But if you don't find such templates you will have a lot of work to. Even if you will find such templates - they are not your taste > so again, a lot work...

I recommend to produce music pieces. Every time you got nice setups > save them. Do it perhaps in parts. So if you got three nice depths with your reverbs > save them togehter. If you got nice a nice stringmix, save it. Your collection of templates will grow and the workflow as well. So you will be able to put together your orchestra in no time at all. A further advantage: You are very flexible that way - all the time.

If you are a Logic user then I recommend to visit hetoreyns homepage. He offers some templates - maybe not what you are looking for but nevertheless it is worth a visit http://www.elvenmusic.com/

    All the best

... Templates -not for Logic, Cubase etc.

    Download Score Templates (pdf) here

    2 Examples of some more:

Sometimes useful for making notes as well even if you don't compose.

  • Hehe .. thanks for the plug Beat .. I need to update my templates as I have developed several newer ones. And Beats totally right about you just needing to write some music and if you find yourself with a good sound and setup .. then save it. My own Templates don't suit everyones needs but they are perhaps a leg up to those who have literally no idea where to begin. http://www.elvenmusic.com/vsl/reverb/reverb.html For a closer look.
