LONG load times for software key reads after adding and installing Special Edition
-
yeah ive got the same problem... at least 3 or 4 minutes for me. i mentioned it a month ago when VE came out (the installation of which was the time when the long loads began) and i got a response simply saying that they are working on it, along with many other updates, and to be patient.
which is understandable. the only workaround i could guess is to un-install VE.
sorry im not much help.

on one hand we had to notice that the number of licenses (not only originating from VSL) to scan increased, on the other hand it seems VI 1.12 was slower than 1.11, but 1.14 is now again faster. the issue is still on our todo-list though.
use the latest versions of VI and VE whenever possible and don't forget to reboot before updating.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds. -
Thank you Christian. I loaded the updates. Key reads improved from 1 minute 50 seconds to about 30 seconds. Much improved. I only own three volumes though and I'm running on PPC not intel Mac. I want to mention that I received no notice that a newer version was available and was still running version 1.10. I also noticed I was not informed on library updates. I guess I'll have to be better about checking things here. Thanks for the tips Gary Brandt@cm said:
