  • OSX VE (32bit) update/bug fix imminent?

I'm wondering how near an update of the OSX version of VE might be. What makes this so important to me is the bug that causes VE to launch whenever Finale 2008 is launched. It's not so bad time wise in OS 10.5.1 if you have already started the standalone VE, but in OS 10.4.11 it takes several minutes for Finale to open because of this. Unfortunately playback of the standalone under OS 10.5.1 is marred by clicks and pops apparently due to processor overload, but these are not present when the same file is played under OS 10.4.11.

If an update that would fix this bug in VE is not imminent I would like to uninstall VE from the OS 10.4.11 drive. What is the best way to do this?

    Thanks,

    Stephen

  • Having not heard any answer to this question, I uninstalled VE from my OS 10.4.11 disk according to the directions Maya gave on another thread. The result is the Finale starts up normally. I have kept VE on the OS 10.5.1 startup disk because although the bug that causes VE to launch when Finale is launched is still present, Finale launches only a little more slowly than usual (if I have launched the VE standalone prior to launching Finale - - so that It doesn't have to wait through the license checking process). I certainly hope that a fix is imminent.
