Any chance that we might see the future ability to purchase via download individual instruments? I don't need a Hecklephone or Basset horn or even a Contra Bass Clarinet, but I sure could use the Oboe D'Amour. I could also probably find use for the Bass Flute.
I've held off on the special winds because I just don't have the need for 3/5's of the instruments, can't see spending a lot of money on instruments that I won't be using. But the Oboe D'Amour is something that I would use, and fits more with the standard orchestra collection.
I can understand that selling by groups for standard instruments makes sense.
My suggestion would be that VSL offers the more non standard instruments individually for those of us who don't need the others.
Just a thought.

Download individual instruments?

Somewhat related... I just went to find out about upgrading some of my Winds I and II Standard libraries to Extended, but the option to upgrade individual instruments is no longer listed. Have these upgrades been quietly discontinued, or is this just something missing from the new website?

this option should return early next year, although you have to consider extended instruments are only available for the first 10 Vienna Instruments (the collections included in the symphonic cube). currently you can also email sales@vsl.co.at to handle it backoffice.
