  • VI not seeing all installed folders in directory

I have one dedicated computer to the VI strings. The Directory Manager sees all the libraries. When I open the VI player, whether in stand alone mode or in VE, it's not "seeing" (recognizing 02 Viola Solo,, O3 Cello Solo, 11 Volins Chamber. Otherwise, all other folders are showing including Orchestral Strings 1 and 2, and Appassionata. I have rescanned and rebooted three times with no change in results.

The Vienna Instruments player is v1.13.

The D drive is dedicated to VI and all the libraries are correctly installed installed and were available prior to updating to 1.13 and installing VE.

    Thanks in advance.

  •  Have you tried opening the Vienna Instruments (and the Vienna Ensemble) Directory Manager, selecting all files and pushing the "rescan existing" button? This worked for me.

  • 1. I'm on a pc not a mac with the strings.

    2.  Are you selecting all files by highlighting the main folder D:\\Vienna Instruments?

    3. Are you selecting all files by highlighting all the individual Vienna Instrument folders within d:\\Vienna Instruments?

I've done both methods and three folders are still not showing up: Solo Viola, Solo Cello, Violins Chamber

  • Hi Peter,

as I know that you are also using the Vienna Ensemble on your machines, here´s what I would do:

Remove all folders from your Directory Manager (use the DM you find in the Vienna Ensemble folder).

Open an Explorer and add your content to the DM by drag and drop.

    This should help :-)

    Best,
