     Will there ever be a portamento performance for te app strings.?

    And I wish if it possible to be able to choose from the orchestra string such the violin and cello insteted of vilolin and viola cello and bass :(

    Helo Mazeka,

    there IS Portamento included in every Legato Performance - you can trigger it with the A/B Switch (A0/B0) [:)].

    Here is the manual.

    I´m afraid, the Orchestral Strings are already packaged the way they are.

    What I am looking for is the slide from a note to a target note.

    use A/B switch with all performance-legato patches (as Paul has described)

    A switch = normal legato

    B switch = portamento (small slides to the target note)

    How can get more slide into the target note. From some of the posted demos I hear very nice and more agresive slide into other notes. Thank you.

    You can only get as much "slide" as was performed by the players. There is no magic button I'm afraid. If you give specific details about which demos and at what point you hear something different, then maybe the composers of those demos can tell you which patches they used to get the sound that you like.

    This only sounds the way it does because it is a small section. With such a large section as App Stgs you would not be able to get such a clean portamento. Admittedly it is possible to get a more dramatic portamento, but it would have limited uses IMO. One thing to check though; have a look and the sul patches, and see if these are any better for your purposes.
