    Hello,

    I just received the VSL newsletter 8-11 that announced that Vienna Ensemble 2.0 is available now.

    The Vienna Ensemble I downloaded before is also version 2.0. Is the one I see in the user area now a newer version, so should I download it and replace the old version? If so, can it now be used as plug-in in Logic 7.2.3 without problems?

    Well, I'll reply to myself: it is'nt. Same problems with Logic 7.2.3 as before: empty services window with no active instances and after that a window with Vienna Ensemble services is not available. Reconnect..  but no connection is possible. Why is version 2.0 announced with a different date than before (november 8) when nothing seems to have changed?

    I really hope a new working plug-in version will come out soon..

    Hi there, I just tried to download the "latest?" version (november 8.), but it's not possible. "Decompression failed" is the message... Never got that one before! Any comments, dear folks at VSL? Best Sten Mac Quad PPC, OSX 10.4.10, Logis Pro 8

    Hello,

    Actually I was able to download the version 2.0 (8-11), but I got exactly the same problems when trying to open Vienna Ensemble as plug-in in Logic 7.2.3.

    I downloaded it again, same story.

    Will there be a working plug-in version soon, or is it something I do wrong??

    I'm afraid I'm also seeing pretty much the exact same issues I've had with previous builds:

    - spinning beachball of death when instantiating the Ensemble plugin

    - apparent application hangs when I try and load a matrix in the ensemble (spinning beachball until I forcably quit)

    - periodic synchrosoft errors

    - always having to manually relaunch and reconnect the Ensemble service

    etc. 

    Here's hoping we get something a little more robust fairly soon.

    ... I'm also getting crashes like the one listed below which seem to happen randomly and without provocation.

    They also cause Logic to hang and have to be forcably quit.

    Although I could not reproduce any of the problems described here on my system (G5 4x2,5 GHz, 4,5 Ghz RAM, MacOS 10.4.9, Logic Pro 7.2.3, RME Fireface 800 w/latest drivers, latest build and download of VE, latest version of LCC), I forwarded your reports to our development team and they will look into this as soon as possible!

    Many thanks for forwarding the information.  I'm more than happy to liaise with a developer direct and go through the sort of issues I see on our system pretty much all the time.  Many of them are reproducible here, although the crashes are more random.

    Our system specs are: Intel Mac Pro (8 Core 3GHz), 8GB Ram, OS 10.4.9, Logic Pro 7.2.3, MOTU PCIe-424, latest LCC and drivers.
