As many may know, Finale is limited to using Native Instruments plugins within its own mixing environment. (One can use other plugins hosted by another application such Logic, DP or VE and addressed through Interapplication MIDI.) Because of this Finale, did not attempt to validate or open plugins other than those made by NI. Now, however, every time I open Finale it causes VE to launch. Nonetheless, VE remains invisible to Finale's AU Manager - - it is not listed as one of the options for AU playback within Finale. What this means is that one has to go through the whole license checking procedure every time one initially opens Finale. This is not particularly bothersome if one intends to use VE for playback, but there are many times when one wishes to do purely graphic editing in Finale - - but is nonetheless compelled to wait through license checking.
This issue did not arise with the first (beta) version of VE, but began with the version released on 10/31/07
Please advise.
Thanks,
Stephen
