I did the daring leap to Leppard Friday after checking the PreSonus website for any issues with Leppard. Now today technical support advised me (after I became dead-in-the-water) that the FireStudio is their only unit that is not compatible with Leppard (my luck)!!! They estimate 30 days before this issue will be resolved due to the fact that they only have one Apple available in their test lab. They also mentioned that it is the only unit that they have to write the drivers for Apple. All their other products work with Apple's core audio drivers.

WARNING - Don't Switch to Leppard if your using PreSonus Firestudio

Awww .. sorry to hear you're having this problem. It's always a shame when thing s like this .. that are very specific to your own gear happen. I'm only using the built in Digital system on my mac so I haven't had to worry too much about external gear. But I feel for you none the less .. and I hope they get you your new drivers very soon. Leopard went very well for me .. with only some minor updating needed to be done. I'm amazed that as many companies had gotten their software ready in time.

Thank's for the kinds words Hetoreyn. There's always a risk when you upgrade to a Major new version of OS. It would have been nice if ProSonus would have had something on the website warning us -- not that I didn't check a head of time. When I called this morning and asked if there should be any issues with upgrading to Leppard, the tech support said no. Then I began to question him why I might be having problems. Then the truth came out.........
I've switched over to the built in Digital and had to freeze some tracks to get the project back up and running. I was only about 75% CPU on 65 tracks before. It choked after about 6 bars on internal. Apple is pushing Appogee Symphony -- I see on their website that they have an update for Leppard.... To bad the other guys couldn't have been ready.....
We'll survive..... Thanks again.
