    LOVE the new VE ... but...

    In Sibelius 5.1, if you save a playback configuration, it only saves the first channel of each VE instance.  So for example I set up a VE instance for strings (V1, V2, Va, Vc, DB), and set it all up nicely, and then quit the Playback devices dialog; and then went back in and everything had disappeared apart from Violin 1.

    So we're back to single-channel Vienna instances...!!!

    I'd think this was a Sibelius issue except that I can do the exact same thing with GVI and it works fine.

    Having had a reply from the ever-excellent Daniel on the Sibelius forum, I think this may be no more than a problem of converting from VI to VE - insofar that Sibelius needs to be told how many channels the instrument has and of course the previous setting in the "sound set" was just 1.  I am investigating further and will let you know....!
