  • Cubase 4 OSX, recommended reverb for orchestral?

hi all i was just about to purchase gigapulse vst when i read it only runs on pc then i was about to purchase altiverb when i read it doesn't run on cubase 4 bogus what else do i do?

  • aaaah i haven't been posting for weeks - what happend to my name?!?? line breaks don't work too - Sangit

  •  VST Gigapulse or Altiverb?

    Hello Sangit

I worked for a long time with Gigapulse but I never was really happy because Gigapulse comes with only a few rooms (small, medium and large hall and small, medium large room... The rest isn't really for orchestra applications). The sound is not bad but some Roompoints should get a repaired IR - They are either bad recorded or the have a bug. Further it seems to be that Gigapulse don't support this reverb any more > official: no Cubase 4 support... Last update  September 2005!

Altiverb costs a lot of money. It often is a good solution but it is also a bit tricky to use it.

Instead of Gigapulse you also could chek out the new SIR - Reverb. It comes with own IRs and (demo available). There are further Reverbs: Waves at  http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=250

    or Wizoo2 at http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/feb06/articles/wizoow2.htm

    or at Voxengo http://www.voxengo.com/product/pspace/ PristineSpace.

Try also Roomworks of Cubase - not a bad reverb for some cases
