  • The countdown has started....

     Hi to all.

In Australia,  we are a day ahead of you guys in Europe, but October 25th in your time  will see me scrambling to my computer and hitting it hard in download mode.

Can't wait to see how this software works with my  VI Special Edition, Appassionata's, Orchestral Strings, Sibelius 5, Cubase,...

    - and to think it's free! Thanks heaps Herb! You are really looking after us VSL Fans[:D].

    best,

    Steve.

  • yes sir  buddy. I'm with ya. (Except I'm in America)

  • hey, good to hear from another buddy from up over in the US to down under here in Oz

. Yep -not too long to go now ktnujynisis...the vsl server will probably go mad with so many downloads. I must admit that I feel like a little kid waiting for the presents at xmas again....[^] well, there was no Xmas tree symbol, so I thought a birthday cake would suffice.

    best,

    Steve.

  • I join in guys,

this is great news and I´ll hit the download button as soon as this new toy will be online.

Only trouble is the lack of time to really get under the surface (just too busy these days!)

    Cheers from Frankfurt, Germany

    Andreas

  •  Hi Andreas,

cheers back from Australia to you too![Y].

Yes, let's hope if we all hit the download button together it doesn't crash everything at once! [li]

I am sure that the vsl server will cope though.

Hope the weather up over there in Frankfurt is going fine![ip]

    best,

    Steve.

  • Dammit .. Why can't we have it NOWWWWWWW!!!!! ...... You might be able to tell I'm suffering the jitters from lack of good mixing.

  • I guess if they were going to delay the release, they would have said something by now. But if they were going to release it on time, I would think they might have said something to ease all of our worries about a later release date. I guess we'll all know in a few days.

  • HI  Hetoreyn -

Glad to see you on this thread!

I have downloaded many of your podcasts' and love em. I have not noticed any problem with your mixing though! It all sounds very polished to me.

I do love your performance of the Galaxy Quest theme. I have often hit back to the beginning of that podcast while driving down the motorway here down under. Sounds so great!

    Keep the podcast's coming please!

    best,

    Steve.

  • Thanks for the comments. I guess my mixes ain't so bad .. but when I compare it to the real thing I'm just always disappointed at myself. There is certainly more Podcasts to come .. right now I'm under the weather with a chest cold .. and I'm working real hard on Starship Farragut still ... however this is going to give me some good topics to do next on the show.

  •  Sounds Good Hetoreyn.  Maybe with the Vienna ensemble, that could be a possible topic for one of your upcoming podcasts?

There has been some great music featured on them, and some very good tips and general info regarding VSL.  I always enjoy the way you just talk and comment so easily - it's very informative and entertaining.

I am looking forward to the next podcast then. [:D]

    best,

    Steve.

  • 2 more days until the "delayed" announcement is made. NOT..........![;)]

    DG

  • 1 more day.

  • I'm so excited for this! The power panning is really what gets me, and the UI looks really great. I just can't wait! Technically it's the 25th here in Arizona, USA... Silly of me to expect it at midnight though. I guess I'll just have to wait until after school!

  •  Well, I just checked the world clock, and it is round about 10.30 in Vienna, so I am hoping to get a download going tonight as its about 6.45 pm here in Australia.

Really looking forward to this download. Power panning and other things are going to be pretty exciting to use. Wow![:D][<:o)][^][ip][8-|][H]

  • I'm just curious how to "translate" the VI projects in Logic into VE projects, but they will give us tutorials for sure.

Save each VI instance as a preset.

    DG

  • Thanks DG, Herb told me already about the preset saving, I'm just curious how the VE handles my Logic tracks(how it routes to my midi tracks including plug ins like EQ,reverb bus),and when I want to use power panning I have to reset all Logic pannings I guess....well I'll see soon I hope!

  •  I have just downloaded VE - oh it looks so cool![H]   but I have to head off to work for the day and I have to wait until I get home this afternoon  to try it out  [:'(]  but, I know my VI solo strings will arrive today also so wow - wonderful - [:D].

Thank you to Herb and all the Vienna Symphonic Library team for this.

    Just so great!
