Is there any benchmarks on how long it should take to authorize VI licenses at startup? I'm currently on an 8-core Mac Pro and it's taking about 3-4 minutes to authorize before my first instrument loads into memory. I have every VI library except Special Edition. I can see the light on the dongle blink about once per second. That seems very slow to me. Once authorization is completed, the library loads fast. It is also an issue only when I either warm or cold boot the system. My entire library is on a dedicated 750 GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s drive. Is there something that I should be looking at as far as configuration to improve performance or is this the norm. I know that I can limit what is being authorized by creating my own preset but I would prefer to have the entire library available. I have the latest license control center loaded. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
