When you upgraded to Logic 8, did you overwrite a previous Logic incarnation? If that is the case, did you overwrite - or did you get a new hard drive and start from scratch?@Paul Hartwig said:

I Installed logic 8 off the discs & I am still using the same hard drives as before, 1.11 works great I had 54 tracks running, I've repaired permissions run disc warrior, tool tech, trashed logic perfs, uninstalled VI redownloaded, I just tried it again and it pinwheeled logic, [spinning wheel forever] any other suggestions ? thanks, Paul

I repaired the permissions again and it worked!! Thanks for all your help, cheers, Paul

That's good. I would always recommend that when anyone upgrades Logic - install a new hard drive and start from scratch. Hard drives cost nothing these days.@Paul Hartwig said:

You have to be a bit careful as Logic will install certain components to Application Support Libraries which would normally be on the boot drive. Also the Logic 8 upgrade will over-write Logic 7 files of the same name so it may be safer to identify where all the Logic 7 files are and make a safety copy. The Logic 8 manual does give hints (and warnings!) to assist a Logic 7 to 8 install. Julian

FANTASTIC!! VI & VSL/esx 24 work great no issues except for the 1.12 update. Cheers, Paul
