    Hi,

    I have a 3 PPC Mac G5 studio. I've loaded the library contents on all three and have tried them each unsuccessfully to get more than 9 total instruments without the audio crapping out. Usually I start hearing artifacts after about 7 are loaded. What am I doing wrong here? Is Vienna Instrument performance better in PCs? If so, which is recommended as a satellite machine?

    I load a patch with leg/port using a horizontal velocity switch. Then go to performance and program the modwheel to control crossfading. I do this seven times with seven different instruments. Then I hear a lot of processor noise and artifacts. I'm getting to believe that Mac may not be the best home for these instruments - I end up bouncing the audio so I can get back to writing.

    Suggestions?

    I'm no MAC owner... but I can easily run 7 performance patches on a 3.0Ghz PC.

    ...i can open 17 instances of vi´s on an intel core2duo mac book...and it´s not the cpu that shows me the dead end...it´s the ram limitations...wait a few month, get one new intel mac with leopard inside an forget about all these other slave-machines...

    How many gigs of RAM do you have in your laptop - 2 or 4 gigs?
