  • Did I misread or...

...despite the bunch of VSL brass libraries with all the double, triple horn and almost unused cornet and alto trombone I can't find a stopped and muted solo horn : thess articulations has been used extensively by composers since the second half of 19th century and it's impossible to do without for a today composer.

How can you explain such an unbelievebale omission ?

  • You will find stopped horn (solo and ensemble) in the Brass I collection.

  • Ok my mistake, but I meant available as a part of a library : is it only included in the VI ?
Is it planned to release the instruments separately since the whole products ( I also don't really need extra winds) are simply not affordable for me ( and for a lot of musicians I think) ?

    Thanks for the reply.

  • Brass I is a library. If you need it, buy it. If you can't afford it, then you don't really need it. [:D]

  • I think there are muted horns in the Special Edition as well. There's muted trumpets and trombones, so it only makes sense.

  • Nope, no muted horns in SE.
