    You mean this song?:

    five zero eight one,
    when you're done,
    your license's gone.

I think I'll just stick with 5.0.6.x too.

  • Hey this could be a great opportunity to wind up Mac users. The chorus could be:

    Get a PC
    Get a PC
    A Mac may look nice
    But you pay double price
    And it can't run a dongle worth a cr*p.

  • It's got a nice melody....but you can't dance to it [H]

Funny, though. I've never had a single problem with any licence dongle/program/method. My Mac is always hassle free.

  • Also, compare Mac prices with PC. I think that you will find once you configure the PC up to the Mac, the Mac may actually be cheaper. That double the price thing is old hat. I also have had no problems with my Mac.

    My 2 cents.

    Peace

  • Hey DG,

I meant to ask you...why do you say a Mac can't run a dongle? I have four on my machine and not a glitch. Must be something wrong with the setup you used. Of course, depends on which Mac, I guess, however, I've used Macs for years and never had a problem......with anything! And my system is loaded with programs and plug-ins, Virtual instruments, you name it. The machine just chews through everything.

I'm not trying to convince anyone the Mac is better. Frankly, I couldn't care less what someone else uses. As long as what I'm using let's me make music. Just curious as to why yourecperience on a MAc woudl be so different from mine doing the same functions.

It was a joke based on the number of OSX users who are having Syncrosoft problems compared with the number of XP users.

There are many more PC users.
So there must be more problems of PC users (counted on number)!

  • ...5.8.2........available... [8-)]

  • Okay. With all of the PC/Mac debating aside, doesn't ANYONE find it odd that Syncrosoft is releasing fixes more often than a fish takes a bath?

    ROTFL [:D]
FYI: 5.0.8.2 is only an update of the license database (someone added or changed license names, more specifically: how they are displayed in the LCC) - so no technical need to update this time
