  • My VSL VI arrives soon !!!

So my question is : can I install all the files on some external USB 2.0 HDD ?

    Thanks

  • Yes you can...

But what exactly do you mean by the question?

  • I have to use it for a project who will release very soon so no time to open my computers and put new hard drives in it ... the best solution in my case is external HDD [:)]

  • Right, well it shouldnt be a problem. The only potential problem I can think of is that it limits you to one computer (as far as I can tell)

  • How should it limit him to one computer? Different external drives attached to different computers holding different volumes of the VI should be possible to my understanding.

It should even be possible to install the samples to the external drive, and the program files to an internal, and link the samples then from theinternal installation. A second installation of the program files on another computer could then use the samples from the same external USB drive, once it is connected to the other computer. The dongle won't allow for simultaneous use though. Maybe I'm not up-to-date with this info, but I think that is possible.

    All the best,
    PolarBear

  • Somehow I understood that he was talking about one external HD. Now ith sevral there is no limitation at all.

  • Another question : what's the VSTi host ? which one do you use ?
