The MIR will be a seperate product, closely integrated with the VIs. As it it is not ready for the market yet (although we get there! [;)] ...), there are no demos available yet.

... but if you happen to visit the NAMM these days, you will see a short video-presentation of our development-work.

You can count on it. It's been confirmed on several occastions. So unless osmething has changed thats likely the optimal way of doing it.

Well -I'm really hoping for a release of MIR in March or April. One of the reasons I'm getting the new VI is for its intergration with MIR. So I would be sad if it was released much later

For me MIR seems interesting but I'm not sure it'll be essential. One of the major plusses of the VI VST approach is how well it will integrate into my sequencer (Cubase SX). This means it will be much much easier to route individual VIs into FX tracks, add individual inserts, vary sends etc. Sure, MIR will be great but don't neglect the power of a VST.

The MIR will most certainly need its own machine (try to run more than 20 unoptimized convolutions on your most recent CPU, and tell us how you scucceeded...). Steff3 is right: The later we release, the stronger the available CPUs will be (and the luckier are our users with the MIR's performance [+o(] )

Regarding mixing and additional FX like dynamics or EQs: You will have the opportunity to integrate your plugins into the MIR itself, as long as they comply tightly with the VST-standard tightly. As i wrote before, the MIR is meant to be a mixing-frontend, not just "another" effect.

To Christian Marcussen: Spring would be the favorite release date for us, too, but we won't overhast it now in the final stage. So please don't count on it, and don't take this as an announcement.
