  • Opus 1 sample error in VA-10L_trem_sus

    Hello,

I have discovered a weird error while playing Opus 1 viola trem patch VA-10L_trem_sus in EXS. It has a weird falling harmony happening in the attack while playing the notes B3, C4.

Is this a common problem for all users? Is there an easy way to fix this?

    Thanks for your help,
    Jon

  • True. The attack of notes B3/C4 has an underlying inharmonic sound at mezzoforte (velocity range = 56 to 10[H].

  • Will there be a fix for this problem, or am I stuck?

  • The issue was already discussed here:

  • well, unlike the patch discussed in the other thread, this REALLY sounds like a player error, as it eventually bends into the correct note. Only human errors eventualy correct themselves. Also, unlike the other thread, these notes are not played at pp, but rather mp, which are easier to control (thus the ability to bend it to the correct note).

Very disappointing. I'd feel a little better if someone would just tell me that "yes, this is a mistake, but we do not have the ability to fix it for Opus 1."

  • Perhaps you could try to stretch the next note in the editor to this one. It should still be ok to stretch the notes a bit further in this case.
