  • I have Performance Tool + Cubase problems!

    Hi all! [:)]

I just managed to play a tune with the performance tool and was blasted away by it's authentic feel.

I put the Ho_Perf-leg_mf samplefile in Port 1, Channel 1 in Gigastudio

In Cubase SX I created a new channel with:

In: (My Keyboard, a Roland XP-50 with no extra settings to it)
    Out: Nemesys MidiOut Port 1

Then designated it to channel 1 in cubase to match channel 1 in gigastudio...

I recorded it in cubase, and it sounded fine during the recording process.
However when I press the play button again to listen to what I had recorded, it was several octaves off, and when I moved it "down" in the cubase editorwindow, the "performance" feeling was gone, as if it was just playin the notes on top of each other. (Performance is supposed to be a single tone at one time right? They were overlapping as usual)

What is wrong? [:'(] Plz help me, because this performance tool buissness is something I have to take more seriousley. I think I set the "Play Zone" correct aswell.

    I set it to A2-G5

    Thanks a Lot in advance!

  • henrik, this sounds to me like you have more than one midi signal arriving at nemesysport1 of gigastudio. your mdi routing should be cubase - performance tool - gigastudio (nemesysports). set inport1 in gigastudio to none and make sure cubase only listens to midiports where you expect it to receive midi (the default is *all*)
