    Can someone tell me if we can purchase certain samples without having to buy a whole package? I can't afford to buy the entire library (that's why Opus 1 was so attractive) Say for example I want to get an instrument or playing technic that did not come with Opus 1...is that even possible right now and will it ever be in the near future?

    All I can say it's not possible now. The only update you can get right now for Opus 1 is the upgrade to the Complete Orchestra Package Pro Edition. But as far as I can remember the upgrade policy might slightly change when Symphonic Cube is availible, not sure though.

    I hope it changes! I am 100% sure that VSL would have an increase in sales all across the board if they did that.

    (although I don't have business degree - it just seems like that would naturally follow)

    Unfortunately I have to tell you, that this will not be possible in the near future. I can't say more, than that we have already talked about it, but that it would be a big project for the company, that is not possible right now.

    I know, you hoped for a more detailed answer, but I can't tell you more for now. Sorry [:(]

    Near future no. But that will absolutely change. The world is moving to a more online pay per chunk mentality. VSL's data will be online and you will be able to click and choose and checkout as any other webstore ... this is my prediction. It will happen OR VSL will be out of business. But mark my words, one of those thigns will happen SOMEDAY.

    evan, could you please explain the expression *thigns* - unfortunately i couldn't find it in my dictionary.
    as a generic rule originating from the old usenet (for those among you who didn't have the chance to take part some years or almost decades ago) it is considered as polite to reread one's posts before clicking on the *send* button
