What comes out when you lock Mathis for 10 days in a room? A tschaikovskian samba.... [[:|]]

ItĀ“s a six minutes piece encoded with 320kb, so itĀ“s quite big, 14 mb. I tried lower settings but it just sounds too bad. Even this 320kb version is clearly distinguishable from the PCM version.
This is my first piece using Opus1 as my main workhorse, but GPO, HSE and Dan Dean are also part of it. ..to answer the obvious question.
I hope you agree that I made fast progress during the last four weeks. [:)] Thank you very much for attention up to now in the other thread.
Since I didnĀ“t see much daylight the last days because of this piece I really do ask you to comment. I need feedback now.
ItĀ“s my first big orchestral piece and I thought several times this will be to big for me. I mean, despite of the composition the production process is so full of obstacles. Sometimes I really wanted to give up.
For the realisation I needed four days. One day for playing and programming the strings, one for woodwinds, one for brass and percussion and one for mixing. How does that compare? Do you think thatĀ“s fast or slow? (The days where 14 hour days).
Now to sleep...
Best regards,
- Mathis
(And thank you, Herb, for that grand library!)
